High speed flexible doors specially designed to protect a controlled refrigerated area from ambient temperature.

Double-wall folding curtain for proportioned insulation

To give good protection to the refrigerated area, the ingress of warm air around the periphery of the curtain, with the rapid door closed, must be contained, the sealing maintained in spite of the pressure of the refrigeration units or gusts of air from loading bays and an air blanket has to be incorporated into the thickness of the curtain to reduce losses through the wall by conduction. Our double-walled curtain with air blanket cold store doors offer good resistance to air gusts by increasing the number of stiffeners distributed from top to bottom. They tension the curtain evenly down to the bottom of the slides to provide good peripheral sealing by distributing the air pressure uniformly over the whole of the frame. The opening and closing of the flexible door therefore occurs without unnecessary friction under high pressure, without blocking, without distortion of the curtain and without needless and hazardous weights at the bottom. The closure edge is flexible and deformable both vertically and horizontally. Directly responsive with no rigid feeler bar or system to restrain the curtain in the slides, it can distort smoothly and retract above the obstacle on contact.
The structure and mechanisms of this Nergeco Entrematic insulated high-speed door are made from materials which naturally form a thermal barrier. Developed specifically in accordance with the corrosive environments of the food processing industry, these mechanisms offer decisive advantages. A formulation and design specific to each mechanical and kinematic function has significantly increased its resistance to tearing, twisting and denting relative to weld-fabricated solutions. In addition, they are smooth and wear-resistant without the paint or crevices inherent in weld-fabricated structures. Lastly, under normal conditions of use, these materials are more corrosion-resistant than 316L stainless steel making them fully compliant with the requirements of food processing environments.
